Karthi wishes Rishab Shetty on Kantara’s success 

In a recently released video on social media, actor Karthi can be seen meeting Kannada actor/director Rishab Shetty and praising his recent release Kantara. Karthi, who was promoting his upcoming release Sardar in Chennai, ran into Rishab Shetty in a hotel. 

Karthi is the recent addition to a list of actors who have showered praises for the film. Dhanush conveyed his wishes for the Kantara team through his Twitter handle while Prithviraj, who also praised the film on Twitter, went on to release the Malayalam version of the film in Kerala. 

In the video, Karthi could be heard saying that his brother-in-law recommended the film to him with infectious excitement. Rishab Shetty talked about how he wanted to portray how casteism divides people.

The film was released on 30 September and received overwhelming praise from commercial and critics circles. Due to positive word of mouth, the number of screens was increased and the film was subsequently dubbed into Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Tamil. 

The streaming rights for the film have been bagged by Amazon’s Prime Video. Karthi, who recently appeared in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan, is busy promoting PS Mithran's directorial Sardar.
