Indian documentary All That Breathes wins big at 16th Cinema Eye Honors

The documentary is also running for an Oscars nomination

All That Breathes, the Indian documentary directed by Shaunak Sen, has won the top honour for outstanding achievement in the non-fiction feature category and the award for Outstanding Cinematography at the annual Cinema Eye Honors. 

Cinema Eye Honors was established to celebrate the artistic craft of non-fiction filmmaking. The award has been recognising excellence in non-fiction or documentary filmmaking since 2008 in the disciplines of directing, producing, cinematography and editing. Fire Of Love, directed by Erin Casper and Jocelyne Chaput, has also bagged three awards at the ceremony.

All That Breathes has been Produced by Aman Mann, Teddy Leifer and Shanuak. According to reports, the documentary follows two brothers who run a bird hospital dedicated to rescuing injured black kites. It has also been nominated for the best documentary for the 95th Academy Awards. The winners will be announced at the Oscar ceremony in March. It may be noted that in 2022, the Indian documentary Writing With Fire was also nominated for the Oscars under the same category.
