Laapataa Ladies teaser: Two grooms try to find their brides in Kiran Rao’s rural comedy

The teaser of Laapataa Ladies, the new directorial by Kiran Rao, was released on Wednesday. The teaser will also be showcased in theatres along with the release of Kiran’s former husband Aamir Khan’s film Laal Singh Chaddha on Thursday.

The first glimpse of Laapataa Ladies shows two grooms looking for their wives after they go missing on a train ride. The film will be released on March 3, 2023.

The main cast of the film includes Sparsh Shrivastava, Ravi Kishan, and Chhaya Kadam, and the project is also launching two young actresses who play the brides. The actresses haven’t been revealed yet.

The film is produced by Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao. Its script is based on an award-winning story by Biplab Goswami. The screenplay and dialogue are written by Sneha Desai, and additional dialogues are written by Divyanidhi Sharma.

Kiran Rao, who started her film journey as one of the assistants on the sets of Aamir-starrer Lagaan, is best known for directing Dhobi Ghat, which was released in 2010. It starred Prateik Babbar, Monica Dogra and Kriti Malhotra.
