Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt’s first look from Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani out

The first looks of actors Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt from their upcoming film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani were unveiled today. The makers took to their Instagram handles to share posters from the film which introduce us to the film’s characters, the “heartthrob” Rocky (Ranveer Singh) and the “queen” Rani (Alia Bhatt).

The film, directed by Karan Johar, marks his return to the director’s chair after seven years. Although he directed shorts in Netflix anthologies Lust Stories and Ghost Stories, the last feature film helmed by him was Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016).

In the posters Ranveer can be seen in his goofy self while Alia looks elegant in a sari topped with a nose ring and bindi.

Sharing Ranveer’s look on his Instagram, Karan wrote, “An absolute ‘heartthrob’, who wears his own heart on his sleeve- meet Rocky!” Unveiling Alia’s look, he wrote, “Ladies & gentlemen, the queen is here to steal your hearts- meet Rani!”

Apart from Ranveer and Alia, the film also features an ensemble cast of Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi and Dharmendra.

Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani is scheduled to be released on July 28.
