Kangana Ranaut: Karan Johar banned Priyanka Chopra from Bollywood because of her friendship with Shah Rukh Khan

After Priyanka Chopra Jonas claimed of being “cornered” in the Hindi film industry, Kangana Ranaut took to Twitter on Tuesday and blamed director-producer Karan Johar for banning her from the industry.

Recently, while speaking to Dax Shepherd on his podcast Armchair Expert, Priyanka said, “I was being pushed into a corner in the industry (Bollywood). I had people not casting me. I had beef with people. I am not good at playing that game so I kind of was tired of the politics and I said I needed a break.”

Sharing a news article about Priyanka’s revelation, Kangana wrote in a Twitter thread, “This is what Priyanka Chopra has to say about Bollywood, people ganged up on her, bullied her and chased her out of the film industry” a self-made woman was made to leave India. Everyone knows Karan Johar had banned her.” (sic)

Kangana also wrote that Karan banned Priyanka because of her friendship with Shah Rukh Khan. “Media wrote extensively about her fall out with Karan Johar because of her friendship with SRK and the movie mafia Cruella who is always looking for vulnerable outsiders saw a perfect punching bag in PC and went all out in harassing her to a point where she had to leave India.”

Labelling Karan as “jealous, mean and toxic”, Kangana said that the director-producer should be held accountable for “ruining the culture and environment of the film industry which was never hostile to outsiders in the days of AB (Amitabh Bachchan) and SRK.”

 “…His gang and mafia PR should be raided and held accountable for harassing outsiders,” she added.

Kangana has in the past accused Karan of being the “flag-bearer of nepotism”. She frequently attacks him for making it difficult for her to get work in the film industry.
