Mrs Undercover teaser: Radhika Apte’s homemaker/secret agent beats goons better than flour

The teaser of Radhika Apte’s upcoming spy-comedy Mrs Undercover was released today. Written and directed by Anushree Mehta, the film also stars Sumeet Vyas, Rajesh Sharma and Saheb Chatterjee in pivotal roles.
The teaser opens with Radhika playing the role of a homemaker. She seems to be struggling with her job as she topples while mopping the floor, operates the mixer with the lid open and sends a rolling pin swinging while making rotis. At a dinner, her husband (Saheb Chatterjee) says, “Oh, she doesn’t do anything. She’s just a housewife.” We then see Radhika, in a black bodysuit, beating up goons in the dark.

Mrs. Undercover is a story of a simple Indian homemaker Durga (Radhika), who is actually a special undercover agent called back on the job after 10 years. However, in the past decade, she has forgotten all about being an undercover agent as she dedicated all her time to being ‘just’ a housewife, taking care of her mother-in-law, father-in-law, son and demanding patriarchal husband.
While Sumeet plays the antagonist, Rajesh will essay the role of the head of the Special Force, who recruits Durga. The film will be released on ZEE5 later this year. It is produced by Sunil Shah of B4U Motion Pictures, Indoo Ki Jawani’s director Abir Sengupta and Varun Bajaj of Knight Sky Movies.
