Priyanka Chopra praises SS Rajamouli’s RRR and Pakistani film Joyland

RRR recently won a Golden Globe while Joyland has been shortlisted in the Best International Feature category at the Oscars

Priyanka Chopra Jonas recently applauded SS Rajamouli’s global phenomenon RRR. The actor was also seen with Rajamouli and music composer MM Keeravani at one of the film’s screenings in the US. Posting that photo on her Instagram stories, Priyanka wrote, “Least I can do to contribute to this incredible Indian film’s journey. Good luck and congratulations to the team.”

After major box office success in India, RRR became a word-of-mouth hit in the West. It recently picked up a Golden Globe, and two Critics Choice Awards (for Best Original Song and Best Foreign Film).

Priyanka also praised Pakistani film Joyland, which has been shortlisted in the Best International Feature category at the Oscars. The actor posted a clip from the film in her stories and wrote, “Joyland is truly a joy to watch. Bravo to the entire team for bringing this story to life. It’s a must watch.” The film’s team also reacted to Priyanka’s post and thanked her for her support.

Recently, Priyanka hosted a special screening of Chhello Show (Last Film Show), India's official entry for the Academy Awards, for the voters who decide the Oscars in Los Angeles. The screening was followed by a dinner reception in Los Angeles for members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences.

On the work front, Priyanka will be next seen in Love Again. She also has Citadel on the cards.
