Abhay Deol on Trial By Fire: Done true stories before but this one has to be the most tragic

We earlier reported that Trial By Fire, a series based on the Uphaar Cinema fire in the 90s, will stream on Netflix from January 13. The series stars Abhay Deol and Rajesh Tailang in the lead roles. 

In an Instagram post, he revealed that playing Shekhar Krishnamoorthy in Trial By Fire was possibly the hardest role. He wrote, "Possibly the hardest role I’ve ever had to portray. I’ve done true stories before but this one has to be the most tragic. A fire that left a trail of tragedies in its wake. Tragedies Neelam and Shekhar Krishnamoorthy had to deal with over the two plus decades." The trailer of the series was released on Wednesday. The trailer shows Deol as Shekhar and Deshpande in the role of Neelam. It traces their journey to find justice for their kids in the aftermath of the tragedy.
