Chup early reactions: Fans praise Dulquer Salmaan, 'fresh' and 'unique' plot

R Balki's Chup has received positive early reactions from fans. The film is releasing theatrically on Friday, September 23. The makers had earlier arranged special 'freeview' public shows in 10 cities including Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Lucknow, Gurgaon, Jaipur, Kolkata, Bangalore and Hyderabad on September 20. There was a premiere in Mumbai on Wednesday night for celebrities and critics. 

Chup tells the story of a serial killer on the hunt for film critics. The film stars Dulquer Salmaan, Sunny Deol, Shreya Dhanwanthary and Pooja Bhatt as leads. It features original music by Amit Trivedi as well as old standards from Pyaasa and Kaagaz Ke Phool.
