Actor Sonu Sood, who hails from Punjab, reacted to the alleged leak of private videos of women students at Chandigarh University. Stating that the events were “unfortunate” he said that as a responsible society it is important to stand with the victims.

“Something that happened in Chandigarh University  is very unfortunate. It’s time for us to stand with our sisters and set an example of a responsible society. These are testing times for us, not for the victims. Be responsible!” he tweeted.

A woman hosteller studying MBA at Chandigarh University in Punjab's Mohali was detained by police on Sunday for filming over 60 girls from the hostel while they took a bath.

As per reports, the accused hosteller illegally sent the nude images and videos to a male friend in Shimla, resulting in the footage being circulated online.

As the video went viral, a massive ruckus erupted overnight on the campus of Chandigarh University as crowds of hostellers shouted slogans: 'We want justice'.
