Radhika Madan wraps up filming for Hindi remake of Soorarai Pottru
The remake is being directed by Sudha Kongara, who also helmed the original, which won its lead Suriya his first National Award for Best Actor
We had earlier reported that Radhika Madan was playing the lead opposite Akshay Kumar in the Hindi remake of National Award-winning Tamil film, Soorarai Pottru.
The remake is being directed by Sudha Kongara, who also helmed the original, which won its lead Suriya his first National Award for Best Actor.
Radhika took to her Instagram account to share the latest update about the remake, which is yet to be titled. She wrote, "It's a wrap for project No 5 of this year! It's been a beautiful beautiful year guys. Can't wait to see you at the movies."
Soorarai Pottru (Praise the brave) revolved around Nedumaaran Rajangam or Maara, who sets out to make the common man fly and in the process takes on the world's most capital-intensive industry with the help of his family, friends, and sheer willpower. It was partly inspired by events from the life of Air Deccan founder Captain G R Gopinath.
Backed by Vikram Malhotra-led Abundantia Entertainment, 2D Entertainment lead by Suriya, Jyothika and Rajsekar Pandian, the Hindi remake has music by GV Prakash Kumar.
Incidentally, Suriya will have a cameo role in the Hindi remake.
