Vicky Kaushal-starrer Govinda Naam Mera will stream on Disney+ Hotstar from December 16. The film, which also stars Kiara Advani and Bhumi Pednekar, has skipped its theatrical release and is arriving direct-to-OTT.

Vicky announced the release date with a new poster of the film. "Murder, mystery, madness & masala -ALL coming to your home screens! GovindaNaamMera streaming from 16th Dec, on Disney+ Hotstar! GovindaNaamMeraOnHotstar," he wrote.

In a recent promotional video with Vicky, producer Karan Johar had clarified the film has nothing do with actor Govinda. Instead, he revealed that the lead character, also named Govinda, is a background dancer in films. While Govinda’s wife is cheating on him, he also has a girlfriend residing in Mumbai.

Vicky Kaushal was last seen in Sardar Udham (2021). His upcoming projects include Sam Bahadur and Laxman Utekar's next co-starring Sara Ali Khan.
