Karan Johar celebrates birthday at midnight with three-tier cake, white flower decor, see pics

To celebrate his 50th birthday, Karan Johar will be throwing a lavish party at Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai tonight. But the filmmaker already had a mini bash at his house on Tuesday night. The party was attended by Gauri Khan, Manish Malhotra, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, Ayan Mukerji, Farah Khan, Apporva Mehta, Maheep kapoor and others.

Photos and videos from the celebration were shared on social media.

Designer Manish Malhotra gave a sneak peek into the party. The videos show a dinner table adorned with white flowers and grand candlestands. Maheep Kapoor also shared photos of the three-tier birthday cake and the decor at karan's house.

Director Farah Khan also posted a video of Karan posing inside a walk-in closet and made some cheeky jokes. In the video, Karan is asking Farah, "You want to come inside my closet?" to which she replies, "You want to come out of your closet?", and Karan shots back saying, "Been there, done that."

Kareena Kapoor Khan also wished Karan by sharing a throwback picture and said that she wants to celebrate by dancing like never before. She shared an old photograph posing with Karan on Instagram. In the image, the two seem to be trying to pout.

Taking a dig at their own pout game, Kareena captioned the image: "I don't know are we pouting? sucking our cheeks in well what the hell.. it's us you and me me and you..forevera love like no other. Let's dance tonite like never before acause it's my sweethearts birthday Happy 50 @karanjohar No one like you."

Alia Bhatt also took to Instagram to wish the director-producer on his big day. She posted some pictures with Karan to mark the occasion. "To the most generous soul I know! .. to the man who is my father .. my best friend .. and my mentor!(displayed in these pictures respectively)
