Rohit Shetty's Cirkus to release on this date

Director Rohit Shetty's Cirkus will have a Christmas release. The film is slated to launch on December 23 this year.

The big-ticket entertainer features Ranveer Singh in a double role, Pooja Hegde, Jaqueline Fernandez and Varun Sharma, among others.

The director took to his social media to make the announcement. "It's time to bring our audience back to the cinemas... ONCE AGAIN! Golmaal released 16 years ago and the love you all gave me made me what i am today! 'Cirkus' is a christmas gift for you and your family! Kyunki iss ‘Cirkus' mein bohot sara Golmaal hai!!!," he wrote on Instagram.

Commenting on the development Rohit shares, “Cirkus is a complete family entertainer. There’s no better time than the Christmas holidays to celebrate the film in cinemas everywhere.”

Cirkus is officially adapted from the 1982 film Angoor, which was based on Shakespeare's play The Comedy of Errors.
