Lakshya, Shanaya, Gurfateh in Shashank Khaitan's Bedhadak

Dharma Productions has announced their next, Bedhadak. Written and directed by Shashank Khaitan, the film will star debutants Lakshya and Shanaya Kapoor. They're characters are called Karan and Nimrit respectively. Also featured in the cast is Gurfateh Pirzada (Guilty) as Angad.

Lakshya has been in television shows like Porus and Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil. He was meant to debut in Bollywood with Dostana 2, which was put on hold. "He’s charming, he’s dashing & he’s on his way to rock your world! Meet Karan aka Lakshya! See him in #Bedhadak - directed by Shashank Khaitan," Dharma Productions tweeted.

Shanaya is the daughter of Bollywood actor Sanjay Kapoor and jewellery designer Maheep Kapoor. She joined the Dharma Cornerstone Agency (DCA) last year.

"The Dharma family continues to grow! Watch Shanaya enchant her way into your hearts with #Bedhadak - directed by Shashank Khaitan," read another tweet.

Shashank Khaitan has directed the romantic comedies Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania, and the 2018 Sairat-remake Dhadak. He helmed a segment in the 2021 anthology Ajeeb Daastaans. His next film is Govinda Naam Mera, starring Vicky Kaushal.
