Bollywood singer KK passed away in Kolkata on Tuesday night. He was 53.

KK was performing at Nazrul Mancha for Gurudas College's fest when he fell ill. He was taken to his hotel and then to CMRI Hospital where he was declared brought dead. The singer's death took place an hour after performing at the event, reports say. 

On the internet, videos have emerged of KK sweating profusely at the venue and also complaining about the air-conditioning. Fans have outraged about his death and blamed the authorities for poor management. 

KK's autopsy, as per reports, suggested he died of a heart attack. 

Krishnakumar Kunnath (KK) was born in Delhi to Hindu Malayali parents. He started his musical journey with the first solo album Pal in 1999. KK was known for voicing popular songs like Tu Hi Meri Shab Hain (Gangster-2006), Tadap Tadap Ke( Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam-1999), Dil Ibaadat (Tum Mile- 2009) and Ankhon Mein Teri ( Om Shanti Om- 2007), among others.
