Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi star together in the upcoming comedy-drama Selfiee. Directed by Raj Mehta and produced by Karan Johar, the film is the official Hindi remake of Driving Licence, a 2019 Malayalam hit starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu.

Driving Licence follows film actor Hareendran (played by Prithviraj) who wants a driving licence urgently and his ardent fan, a motor inspector, who agrees to deliver it illegally.

Talking about Driving Licence and its upcoming remake, Prithviraj said, “This movie was a special endeavour for me to work on. I was aware that playing actor Hareendran would be really difficult for me, but I was prepared to take a chance, and I'm so glad I did. I'm thrilled that there is a Hindi version of the movie in making and am touched by the outpouring of support from my fans and well-wishers everywhere.”

Besides co-producing Selfiee, Prithviraj is also working with Akshay Kumar in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.

The film, which also features Tiger Shroff, will mark Prithviraj's comeback to Hindi films after six years.
