'Arjun Kapoor should focus on his acting'

'Arjun Kapoor should focus on his acting'

Responding to Arjun Kapoor's recent statements about the growing 'Boycott' trend that is hitting almost every other Bollywood release, Narottam Mishra, the Home Minister of Madhya Pradesh, asked the actor to "focus on acting."

During a press event, Mishra said, "Instead of threatening people, Arjun Kapoor should rather focus on his acting. Actors targeting Hinduism in their films and supporters of the Tukde-Tukde gang should not try to threaten the public."

Earlier, in an interview, Arjun had said, "I think we made a mistake by being silent for so long. Our decency was taken as our weakness. We always believe in letting the work speak for itself, all this doesn't matter."

His comments went viral, and the Ek Villain Returns actor was at the receiving end of relentless social media trolling.

Laal Singh Chaddha was the latest film to be hit by the boycott trend, which also affected Akshay Kumar's Raksha Bandhan. If Aamir Khan was trolled for his 2018 comments on India's growing intolerance, Raksha Bandhan writer Kanika Dhillon had to face ire for her comments on social media.

In addition, boycott Vikram Vedha also trended on social media because the film's lead actor Hrithik Roshan supported Laal Singh Chaddha.
