Pippa to release on December 9, 2022

RSVP Movies and Roy Kapur Films have announced the release date of Pippa. The film, starring Ishaan Khatter, will release on December 9, 2022.

Pippa is an adaptation of the book The Burning Chaffees, written by Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta. The film is the story of war veteran Brigadier Mehta (essayed by Ishaan) of the 45th Cavalry tank squadron who fought in the 1971 Indo-Pak war.

The makers released several stills from the war drama. The film is described as 'an amazing true story of an entire family on the front lines.

In the stills, Ishaan can be seen commandeering a PT-76 amphibious war tank (known as 'Pippa'), which played a major role in the war.

Pippa is currently filming across Amritsar, West Bengal, Ahmednagar and Mumbai. Besides Ishaan, it also features Mrunal Thakur, Priyanshu Painyuli and Soni Razdan. The film is directed by Raja Krishna Menon.
