The first look teaser for the sequel to the 2020 action film Extraction has been released. Sam Hargrave, who helmed the first film, has returned to direct the sequel.

The gritty trailer shows Chris Hemsworth's mercenary for hire Tyler Rake going on a rampage in a prison compound, trying to extract a new target. While the earlier mission had our protagonist running through the chaotic streets of Bangladesh, the second film is set in an unknown snow-covered region.

The principal photography for the film took place in and around Prague, Czech Republic but it is unclear if the story takes place in the city. Extraction 2 is based on the graphic novel Ciudad, that the producer of the film Anthony and Joe Russo had co-written with Ande Parks, Fernando León González, and Eric Skillman.

Apart from Chris Hemsworth in the lead, the cast of the film also includes Golshifteh Farahani, Adam Bessa, Daniel Bernhardt, and Tinatin Dalakishvili.

Extraction 2 is currently scheduled to stream on Netflix from June 16, 2023.
