The Super Mario Bros. Movie trailer: Chris Pratt voices everyone's favourite Italian plumber

The first official full-length trailer for the upcoming film The Super Mario Bros. Movie has been released online. The animated film is an adaptation of the world-famous Super Mario video game franchise. Apart from Mario, the Italian plumber who resides in the mushroom kingdom, the film features other characters from the franchise like Princess Peach, Luigi, Bowser, Toad, Donkey Kong, and Foreman Spike.

The Super Mario franchise was originally created by the Japanese video game company Nintendo. With its first game having released in 1985, the franchise became a global phenomenon over the years, and currently has around 20 games in the franchise. 

The Super Mario Bros. Movie is directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic and based on a screenplay by Matthew Fogel. Apart from Chris Pratt voicing Mario, the cast of the film also includes Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Day, Jack Black, Keegan-Michael Key, Seth Rogen, Fred Armisen, Kevin Michael Richardson, Sebastian Maniscalco, and Charles Martinet. The Super Mario Bros. Movie is currently scheduled to release on 7 April 2023.
