Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer is here, officially

The trailer for Tom Holland's Spider-Man: No Way Home has been officially released by Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios, following the leakage of an unprocessed version of the featurette yesterday.

Confirming the speculations, the new trailer features supervillains Dr Octopus and Green Goblin from Sam Raimi's Spider-Man universe, which had Tobey Maguire playing the lead. Though we get a clear visual of Alfred Molina's Dr Octopus, there are only cues to hint at the arrival Spider-Man cinematic universe's first villain Green Goblin.

The trailer starts right from the point where the previous film, Spider-Man Far From Home ended and shows a worried Peter Parker facing the world that knows his secret identitiy. He is also being interrogated by the police for the death of Mysterio, going by his wrongful confession video. Peter turns to Dr Strange to alter erase this timeline and make everyone forget his biggest secret.

But the spell goes wrong, accidentally creating a co-existing multi-verse that crashlands in Peter's world and opens a pandora box of problems. While Tony Stark and almost Quentin Beck acted as the mentors of Peter Parker, in this film he has Benedict Cumberbatch's Dr Strange to guide him through challenges.

The much-hyped film is also said to feature the other two Spider-Man actors Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. But, as of now, we have to wait till December to find out what is in store on the silver screen.

Spider-Man: No Way Home, directed by Jon Watts, also stars Zendaya, JB Smoove, Jacob Batalon and Marisa Tomei. The film is set to release worldwide on December 17.
