With Marvel president Kevin Feige categorically dismissing any possibility of bringing Iron Man back months ago, Robert Downey Jr says he would sport the superhero suit again "happily".

Speaking to Esquire the actor said that Iron Man is "too integral a part of my DNA". He went on to say that the role chose him. But explaining the ground reality, he responded to Feige's statement that Iron Man won't return, "Never, ever bet against Kevin Feige. It is a losing bet. He’s the house. He will always win.”

Kevin Feige with no room for ambiguity told Vanity Fair last December that several years of hardwork has went into to get to the point of Tony Stark's death in the Avengers: Endgame and it cannot be magically undone.

Downey Jr has played Iron Man in 10 films of the MCU.
