Christopher Landon hopes to remake Arachnophobia next

Christopher Landon, who is best known for making films like Happy Death Day and its sequel Happy Death Day 2U has announced that he is hoping to remake the 1990 film Arachnophobia next. In a recent interaction with Discussing Film, the director says, “I’m hoping it should be my next film. We’re getting super close. 

The script’s done. I’ve been working on that for a while now. So now it’s just really about getting it together. I met a spider wrangler the other day, so that’s a good sign!”

The original Arachnophobia follows an unexplainable series of murders in a town, upon investigating it is found that a flock of spiders are responsible for these deaths. The original film was directed by Frank Marshall based on a script written by Don Jakoby and Wesley Strick. 

The director is currently promoting his horror-comedy film We Have a Ghost which stars David Harbour, Jennifer Coolidge, Anthony Mackie, and Jahi Di'Allo Winston.
