Henry Cavill wraps filming for The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare

Henry Cavill, who is leading Guy Ritchie's The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, has wrapped up shooting for the film. The announcement came from the actor through his official Instagram handle. 

Sharing a video that featured new footage of the film, Cavill wrote, "My days on Ungentlemanly Warfare are over. This a sad day. I'm going to echo the sentiments of my co-stars and sing the praises of our intrepid crew." He then went on to pen a long and heartfelt note about his time on set.

The plot details of The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare are yet to be disclosed. The film is said to be based on a true story revolving around a World War II combat group formed by former UK Prime Minister Winston Churchill and Ian Fleming. The film is reportedly based on the 2015 Damien Lewis book of the same name. Apart from Cavill, the film will star Alex Pettyfer, Henry Golding, Eiza González, Alan Ritchson, and Hero Fiennes Tiffin.

The film's production began in February 2023 in Turkey. It is still unclear whether the entire film's production has been wrapped, or only Cavill's portions. However, it is known that Ritchson has also completed filming for The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare.

The script of The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare has been penned by Paul Tamasy, Arash Amel, and Eric Johnson, along with Ritchie. The film is expected to have a theatrical release sometime in 2024.
