Joe Cole to lead BBC's Nightsleeper

Joe Cole to lead BBC's Nightsleeper

Joe Cole, known for his performance in Peaky Blinders and Gangs of London will be headlining the real-time BBC drama thriller series, Nightsleeper

Created by Nick Leather, Nightsleeper will star Alexandra Roach alongside Cole. The series is currently being filmed in Glasgow, Scotland. The show was first announced by BBC in December.

Nightsleeper follows a government agency desperately trying to intervene in a sleeper train from Glasgow to London, as events rapidly escalate onboard. Cole and Roach will play two strangers forced to work together to save the lives of a heterogeneous group of passengers, as the train travels towards its final destination. 

Alex Ferns, Sharon Small, James Cosmo, David Threlfall, Daniel Cahill, Lois Chimimba, Gabriel Howell, Katie Leung, Leah MacRae, Ruth Madeley, Adam Mitchell, Pamela Nomvete, Scott Reid, Sharon Rooney, and Parth Thakerar round off the cast of Nightsleeper

Nightsleeper will be helmed by Jamie Magnus Stone and John Hayes. Leather wrote the scripts, with Laura Grace joining on episodes 4 and 5.
