Eli Roth's Thanksgiving gets a release date

Eli Roth's directorial Thanksgiving will release in theatres on November 17. Sony Pictures announced the news through their Twitter handle. Sony also shared an image that featured a tagline, "All will be carved."

Thanksgiving is based on a fake trailer that Roth made 16 years ago for the Quentin Tarantino-Robert Rodriguez double feature Grindhouse. However, Eli Roth's fake film is about a slasher who makes a carving board out of the inhabitants of a Massachusetts town that creates chaos on the annual turkey day.

Roth is expected to follow his signature style from the controversial and gruesome The Green Inferno and the Hostel films. Penned by Jeff Rendel, the film will be produced by Spyglass Media, Roger Birnbaum and Eli Roth himself.

Thanksgiving is currently in the production stage. The film features Patrick Dempsey, Addison Rae, Jalen Thomas Brooks, Milo Manheim, Nell Verlaque, Gina Gershon, Tim Dillon, and Hostel-fame Rick Hoffman are part of the cast.
