Bourne Trilogy director Paul Greengrass to adapt Stephen King’s Fairy Tale

Paul Greengrass, director of the Bourne Trilogy, is reportedly adapting Stephen King’s novel Fairy Tale into a film. The filmmaker will also produce the film along with Greg Goodman. Fairy Tale was published on 6 September 2022 and instantly went on to become a success. The book is about a seventeen-year-old boy named Charlie Reade who inherits the key to a parallel world where a war rages between forces of good and evil, and the outcome of that war could affect Earth.

Paul Greengrass forever changed the way action films are shot with his Bourne Trilogy, starring Matt Damon as rogue secret agent Jason Bourne. Incidentally, The Bourne Trilogy was also an adaptation of a book series of the same name, written by Robert Ludlum.

A large number of Stephen King novels have been adapted to the big screen and went on to become commercial and critical success. Misery, IT, Carrie, Gerald’s Game, and The Shining are some of the most well-known film adaptations of Stephen King novels. When asked about Greengrass adapting his novel, the author said, “Needless to say, I’m a Paul Greengrass fan and think he’s a wonderful choice for this film.”
