Takayuki Suzuki joins cast of Tokyo Vice for season 2

Suzuki will reportedly portray a charming architect named Masahito Ohno

Japanese actor Takayuki Suzuki has reportedly joined the cast of the HBO Max series Tokyo Vice for its second season. Based on a memoir of the same name by Jake Adelstein, the series follows an American journalist as he moves to Japan and covers Tokyo Metropolitan Police. The series, created by JT Rogers, premiered its first season in April 2022 and was quickly renewed for a second season following the positive response.

Suzuki will reportedly portray a charming architect named Masahito Ohno who is, “A client at the hostess club at the heart of season two. Slowly he’s pulled into the underworld that lies behind the club, and finds himself faced with a terrible choice.”

The actor has appeared in a number of Japanese films and television but this will be his second ever appearance in an American television series, he previously appeared in one episode of the Apple TV+ sci-fi series Invasion.

Ansel Elgort plays the lead role in the film while the supporting cast also includes Ken Watanabe, Rinko Kikuchi, Rachel Keller, Ella Rumpf, Hideaki Ito, Show Kasamatsu, and Tomohisa Yamashita.
