Atomic Blonde director David Leitch to direct Channing Tatum in action thriller Red Shirt

Filmmaker David Leitch is all set to direct Channing Tatum in his upcoming action thriller titled Red Shirt. The director is best known for directing films like Deadpool 2, Atomic Blonde, and the recently released Brad Pitt action film Bullet Train

Although the makers of the film have kept the details about the film under tight wraps, it has been revealed that Red Shirt is a spy thriller that was initially pitched as a Bond film by screenwriter Simon Kinberg. He is best known for writing films like X-Men: Apocalypse, X: Men Days of the Future Past, and Sherlock Holmes (2009). 

David Leitch is currently directing Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt in Fall Guy which is an adaptation of the series of the same name. Channing Tatum will next be seen in the third instalment of the Magic Mike series titled Magic Mike’s Last Dance. The director will also be producing the film along with producer Kelly McCormick under the banner 87 North Productions while Tatum and screenwriter Kinberg will also join the production team under their banners free association and genre films respectively.

Several streaming platforms and production houses are reportedly interested in buying the rights for the project.
