Daniel Kaluuya joins Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse

Actor Daniel Kaluuya is the latest to join Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, the sequel to the blockbuster film, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

The Get Out actor will voice Hobart 'Hobie' Brown, aka Spider-Punk in the new movie, which will hit the theatres on June 2, 2023.

The sequel to the 2018 blockbuster follows the story of Spider-Man as he is forced to reteam with Spider-Gwen (Hailee Steinfeld) and a new cadre of Spider-People to face off with a powerful villain.

Directed by Justin K Thompson, Joaquim Dos Santos and Kemp Powers, Across the Spider-Verse also features Oscar Isaac, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Velez, Greta Lee, Issa Rae, Rachel Dratch, Jorma Taccone, Shea Whigham and Jason Schwartzman.

Across the Spider-Verse is backed by Avi Arad, Amy Pascal, Phil Lord, Chris Miller and Christina Steinberg.

Phil Lord, David Callaham, and Christopher Miller are credited as writers on the film.

The third part, titled Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, will be released worldwide on March 29, 2024.
