Steven Spielberg’s semi-autobiographical film titled The Fabelmans is premiering at the 45th Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). The film, directed by Steven Spielberg, chronicles the life of the prolific filmmaker during his formative years before he became the pop culture icon that we know and love today. The director has co-written the film along with Tony Kushner.

The Toronto International Film Festival is set to take place between September 8 - September 18. It is unclear at the moment about the exact date of The Fabelman's premiere. This would be the director's first appearance at the world-renowned film festival. 

The film is produced by Universal Studios along with Steven Spielberg’s own Amblin Entertainment. Gabriel LaBelle plays Sammy Fabelam, a character loosely based on a young Steven Spielberg. Joining him are stars Michelle Williams, Seth Rogen, Paul Dano. Along with the primary cast, filmmaker David Lynch is also reportedly appearing in the film. 

The film was originally titled I’ll Be Home with the filmmaker's sister Anne Spielberg attached as 
the writer. John Williams, known for his legendary collaborations with Steven Spielberg, is composing music for the film. The Fabelmans is getting a limited theatrical release in the US on November 11. The makers are yet to announce their plans for a worldwide release.
