Steven Yeun to star alongside Robert Pattinson in Bong Joon Ho's next

Steven Yeun of Minari-fame is set to star alongside Robert Pattinson in Oscar-winner Bong Joon Ho's upcoming sci-fi thriller. Yeun has previously worked with the filmmaker in Netflix's allegorical drama Okja.

Mark Ruffalo, Toni Collette and Naomi Ackie are part of the upcoming film, which is based on Edward Ashton's novel Mickey7. It follows an "expendable" - a disposable employee on a human expedition sent to colonise the ice world Niflheim - who refuses to let his replacement clone, dubbed Mickey8, take his place. Bong Joon Ho is adapting the script, but plot details for the film adaptation are not yet known.

Bong will also produce the untitled film through his company Offscreen, along with Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner of Plan B and Dooho Choi of Kate Street Pictures. Warner Bros is also part of the production.
