Daisy Ridley to star in series adaptation of The Christie Affair 

Daisy Ridley will star in Miramax TV’s series adaptation of Nina de Gramont’s best-selling mystery novel The Christie Affair. The actor will also serve as an executive producer for the series. The Christie Affair was originally published in February 2022 and became UK no. 1 bestseller and was also included on the New York Times Bestseller list.

Set in 1962, The Christie Affair is a fictional story based on the real-life author Agatha Christie’s mysterious disappearance for 11 days. The story is told from the perspective of Agatha Christie’s husband’s mistress. Daisy Ridley will play the role of mistress Nan O’Dea.

Juliette Towhidi, known for Calendar Girls and Death Comes to Pemberley, will adapt the murder mystery novel for the small screen. In an interview with Deadline, Marc Helwig, Head of Worldwide Television at Miramax TV has this to say about Daisy Ridley’s involvement in the project: “We couldn’t be more grateful to be joined by Daisy on this incredible project – as both the star as well as our producing partner. Daisy is one of the most captivating and talented actors working today, and we’re excited for her to bring Nina de Gramont’s fascinating ‘Nan O’Dea’ to life.”

Daisy Ridley is best known for playing Rey Skywalker in the Star Wars sequel trilogy which started with Star Wars: The Force Awakens in 2015.
