Shivarajkumar's Bhajarangi 2 has no reference to the original: A Harsha

Shivarajkumar and director A Harsha are joining hands one more time for Bhajarangi 2. The third project of the actor-filmmaker duo will be going on floors soon. 

Much like with the first film, the director has decided to keep Shivarajkumar's look in the film under the wraps and reveal it on the actor's birthday on July 12. “Bhajarangi’s first look was revealed on this day back in 2008, and I want to do the same thing with Bhajarangi 2,” he says, adding that Bhajarangi 2 will have no reference to his first film. “The title was considered only because everyone in the team liked it. Bhajarangi 2 is a different story.” 

The team has planned to shoot the first schedule till July 4, and Bhavana, who is playing the female lead, is said to be joining the sets from June 24. The rest of the cast is primarily comprised of newcomers. 

Harsha feels that new talents add freshness to a film. “As freshers, they can dedicate more time to the film. Even when they don’t have a scene to do on a particular day, they get a chance to observe how I shoot a scene and involve themselves with the script. These young talents, who come with a lot of energy, bring in a certain kind of motivation to the entire team. On the other end, the audience also love watching new faces on the screen,” he says.

Harsha has retained his regular crew for Bhajarangi 2. The film has music by Arjun Janya, editing by Deepu S Kumar, and cinematography by J Swamy.
