A gay man and a lesbain woman embark on a transformative road trip in Hum Bhi Akele, Tum Bhi Akele. The film, starring Anshuman Jha and Zareen Khan, is releasing on Disney+ Hotstar on May 9. 

The 2-minute-21-second trailer sees the duo setting off in a jeep, adjusting awkwardly to each other’s personalities, and gradually opening up about their lives. The laidback setting of McLeod Ganj, in Himachal Pradesh, complements this story of finding love and friendship beyond bounds. 

Hum Bhi Akele, Tum Bhi Akele is directed by Harish Vyas (Angrezi Mein Kehte Hain). The romantic drama picked up the Best Film Audience Choice Award at the HBO South Asian Film Festival in New York. It also won the jury prize for Best Actor (Anshuman Jha) at the Rajasthan International Film Festival, and was the closing film of India’s LGBTQ film festival Kashish.
