The trailer of editor-turned-director Appu Bhattathiri's thriller Nizhal has been released.

The cleverly edited footage of the Kunchacko Boban-Nayanthara-starrer throws at us several intriguing ideas without giving anything away. Is it a murder investigation story? A ghost story? A vigilante story? Or something else entirely?

There is also the suggestion that Kunchacko Boban could be playing a lawyer/vigilante. With dialled down colours and grim faces, the trailer gives off a cold vibe throughout.

Nizhal is expected to be released in April. It also features Saiju Kurup, Izin Hash, Vinod Kovoor, Dr Rani, Aneesh Gopal, and Divyaprabha among others.

Appu has edited the film along with Arun Lal, and Deepak D Menon is the director of photography. Abhishek S Bhattathiri has handled the sound design, while Sinoy Joseph worked on the re-recording mixing.
