With the Beyoncé muck-up in the past, the makers of Khaali Peeli have unveiled the film’s trailer. Ishaan Khatter stars as a tapodi taxi driver who gives a ride to Ananya Panday, as his ‘heroine’ on the run. Amid much action, a bag of cash links them to the film’s ‘villain’, played by Jaideep Ahlawat.
The trailer sets up a ‘mad’ midnight run wherein Ishaan and Ananya must escape their pursuers, all the while learning to trust each other with the loot.
Khaali Peeli is directed by Maqbool Khan. The film is described as a ‘young, edgy, mad roller-coaster ride’ set in Mumbai. The masala entrainer is produced by Ali Abbas Zafar with Offside Entertainment and ZEE Studios. It is set to drop on the pay-per-view service Zee Plex on October 2.
