The official trailer of Prithviraj's directorial debut, Lucifer, has finally arrived, and it is... grand! Politicians, international locales, international criminals, shady deals, treachery, deceit, explosive action set-pieces. Everything you want to see from a mass action entertainer, that too one starring Mohanlal, seems to be in abundance here. It has been ages since we have seen the actor in a mass avatar like this.

The splendidly cut trailer packs in plenty of information and characters without giving much away. There are mentions of a fallen God, thieves dressed as angels, and a rightful heir to the throne. Though it's a bit obvious after a couple of viewings who is who, and who is doing what to whom, no major plot points have been revealed. No trailer in recent memory -- with the exception of Kumbalangi Nights, of course -- has generated this amount of intrigue and excitement. The stage is all set for Stephen Nedumpally to make his grand entry come March 28.

Scripted by Murali Gopy and shot by cinematographer Sujith Vaassudev, Lucifer also stars Manju Warrier, Vivek Oberoi, Tovino Thomas, Indrajit Sukumaran, and Sachin Khedekar, among others.
