The trailer of Ranjit Jeyakodi's Ispade Rajavum Idhaya Raniyum was released today. The film, starring Harish Kalyan and Kaali-fame Shilpa Manjunath, is a romantic drama that is clearly on the opposite end of the spectrum from Harish's previous romance film, Pyaar Prema Kaadhal.

Speaking to us earlier about the film, Ranjit had said, "Ispade Raja is Chennai lingo for the King of Spades, and Idhaya Rani is the Queen of Hearts. These two are representative of the opposite ends of the spectrum. Ispade Raja is omnipresent. You can spot him in the streets, wearing an old T-shirt, faded jeans and branded, showy coolers. On the other hand, Idhaya Rani cannot be easily spotted. She restricts herself to the closed walls of high-end restaurants, pubs, and malls. My film will explore the relationship dynamics between two persons from these contrasting backgrounds."

True to what he said, the trailer clearly fleshes out the clear differences in the personas of the lead actors. 

The film, with music by Sam CS, also stars Ma Ka Pa Anand and Bala Saravanan in supporting roles. Ranjit has earlier directed Puriyatha Puthir starring Vijay Sethupathi and Gayathrie.
