After the success of PSV Garudavega, Dr Rajasekhar has joined hands with director Prasanth Varma for Kalki. Billed to be a period thriller set in Telangana, the film presents the actor as a fiery cop.

The film's teaser was unveiled by the makers on Sunday. The 37-second video that introduces 'Angry Star' Rajasekhar in an intense avatar with a high-voltage action sequence built around an umbrella on a rainy afternoon, which is reminiscent of the scintillating umbrella fight from Rajinikanth's Kaala.

The shooting of Kalki is currently underway at Shamshabad. "The unit has started filming an action sequence at Siddulagutta Siddeshwara Swamy Temple. About 60 per cent of the shoot is complete and the makers have been shooting day and night to wrap up the project. The next schedule will commence in Kulu Manali in the last week of February and with that, major portions will be completed," says a source.

Also starring Adah Sharma, Nandita Swetha and Scarlett Wilson, Kalki is slated for release in May.
