Watch the teaser of Emraan Hashmi's upcoming film Cheat India

Directed by Shomik Sen, Cheat India explores the criminal aspects of the Indian education system.

The teaser of Emraan Hashmi's upcoming filmCheat India, was released online on Friday. The 52-second teaser introduces Emraan's character, Rakesh Singh — a money-grubbing professor who places wealth over knowledge and orchestrates large-scale admission frauds in engineering and  medical colleges. "Nakal Mein Hi Akal Hai," Emraan announces in the teaser, which is also the tagline of the film. 
 

Cheat India is directed by Shomik Sen. The filmmaker's previous film, Gulaab Gang (2014), was based on the Gulabi Gang women's vigilante group in Northern India and starred Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla.

Cheat India marks the Bollywood debut of Shreya Dhanwanthary, who acted in the 2010 Telugu film Sneha Geetham

Co-produced by T-Series, Ellipse Entertainment and Emraan Hashmi Films, Cheat India is slated for release on January 25, 2019.
