In this edition of Time Pass, filmmaker Rajiv Menon talks about his upcoming anthology Putham Pudhu Kaalai to senior journalist Kaveree Bamzai and Entertainment Editor Sudhir Srinivasan. 

In the course of the conversation, Rajiv Menon touched upon various topics like the representation of women in his films, and his struggle in the industry even after churning out blockbusters. 

He also opened up about the devastating impacts COVID-19 has caused to humanity. He said, "COVID has shown us we don't need much to live. We don't need more than three shirts and two pairs of trousers. Our cars have become useless. But at the same time, you are not reaching out to help the other person because you are scared he/she might infect you. It is a tussle between self-preservation and empathy."
