Raj Kandukuri, who produced films like Pelli Choopulu, Mental Madhilo and Choosi Choodangaane, is back with another interesting film. Pelli Choopulu won a National Award and was also a commercial success. Known for backing wholesome entertainers, Raj Kandukuri is now producing Talcum Powder under his Dharmapatha Creations banner. The makers have unveiled the film’s first glimpse, titled The First Sprinkle.

Billed as a new-age crime dramedy, the film has kick-started its promotional campaign with the glimpse, which also announces its theatrical release date as November 13. Raj Kandukuri’s son Shiva Kandukuri is playing the lead role, while Sainath Ponna is directing the film. Drishika Chander is the female lead opposite Shiva.

The glimpse introduces Bunty, a drug peddler who finds himself in an unexpected predicament after unknowingly making a mistake. With both the police and a gang of goons chasing him, the situation quickly spirals into chaos. What exactly has Bunty done, and how will he get out of this mess?

Going by the glimpse, Talcum Powder blends crime, comedy and drama, with plenty of entertaining moments and unexpected turns. Director Sainath Ponna has adopted a contemporary storytelling approach, giving the film a distinct flavour. Shiva Kandukuri, who is looking for a solid break, is hoping that Talcum Powder will give his career the much-needed boost.

On the technical front, cinematographer GV Ajay Kumar has captured the film with slick visuals, while music director Osho V adds energy with his score. Surya Ponnapalli is handling the editing.

With its unusual premise, quirky characters and interesting blend of crime and comedy, The First Sprinkle has set the stage for the film’s promotional journey. Talcum Powder is scheduled to arrive in theatres on November 13.
