Director Srikanth Odela's film The Paradise, starring Nani in the lead role, opened in theatres on Thursday to mostly negative reviews from audiences. While there has been much discourse among the audience about the makers of the film obtaining an injunction against specific types of defamatory content regarding it, Nani has publicly acknowledged the negative response for it. In an X post, the actor said that he has viewed the response to the film from the audience, including their love and negative trolls, and that he has learnt from what critics said about it with respect to flaws.

Amidst the negativity surrounding The Paradise, it is worth noting that the film has had a bumper start at the box office. On Saturday, the makers of the film revealed that it has earned more than 114 crore from theatres worldwide. They announced the The Paradise box office collection news with a specifically designed poster and a caption that says, "It is JADAL ZAMANA and we are witnessing its RAMPAGE."

It is worth noting that Nani plays a character named Jadal in the film, also starring Kayadu Lohar in the female lead role.

Earlier, the film registered a collection of over 88 crore from theatres worldwide, according to the makers, thus setting the record for the highest opening for a Nani film. Produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri under the Sri Lakshmi Venkateshwara Cinemas banner, the film is reportedly made on a massive budget of over 200 crore.

Besides Nani and Kayadu Lohar, The Paradise stars Mohan Babu, Sonali Kulkarni, and Raghav Juyal. On the other hand, it has Keerthy Suresh in a special dance number. It is worth noting that Nani and Keerthy Suresh played the lead roles in Srikanth Odela's previous film, Dasara.

Netflix holds the digital rights for the film.
