Sharwanand, who recently delivered two successful films, Nari Nari Naduma Murari and Biker, has now joined hands with director Srinu Vaitla for their upcoming film George Krish. Ramabrahmam Sunkara is producing the film under Anil Sunkara’s AK Entertainments banner, while it is presented by ATV. Ajay Sunkara is the co-producer. The makers have already announced January 14, 2027, as the film’s release date, coinciding with the Sankranthi festival.
Billed as a fun-filled family entertainer, the film features Manasa Varanasi as the female lead opposite Sharwanand. The shoot is currently underway in Hyderabad. On the occasion of director Srinu Vaitla’s birthday on Thursday, the makers unveiled the first video glimpse from the film.
Titled 'First Booster', the video packs the humour and fun expected from the filmmaker. The glimpse introduces Sharwanand’s character in two distinct religious avatars — George, a Christian, and Krish, a Hindu — showcasing the actor in completely contrasting situations.
Sharwa is seen fully immersed in devotion, swaying with spiritual fervour in both avatars. The contrasting setups and his comic expressions instantly create curiosity about the situations surrounding his characters while giving a glimpse into the film’s unique humour.
Srinu Vaitla appears to be exploring a different backdrop and storyline this time. However, his core intention remains the same — to deliver wholesome entertainment and keep audiences laughing throughout.
Manasa Varanasi looks gorgeous as the female lead, and the First Booster also offers a glimpse of the contemporary love track between the lead pair.
Anup Rubens is composing the music, while KV Guhan is handling the cinematography. Avinash Kolla is the production designer, and Amar Reddy Kudumula is the editor. Nandu Savarigana and Gopi Mohan are the writers, with Kishore Garikipati serving as the executive producer.
George Krish is set for a grand worldwide theatrical release during the Sankranthi season on January 14, 2027. Going by the First Booster, the film promises a colourful blend of humour, romance and family entertainment for the festive audience.
