There is a touch of divinity coming to Manchu Manoj’s next, Vaddi Kaasula Vaada. The makers have now revealed that actor Ravi Mohan has joined the cast of the upcoming Telugu film in a special role as Lord Govinda.
The announcement came on Ravi Mohan’s birthday, with the team extending their wishes and welcoming him on board. Describing his character as the divine form of Lord Govinda who resides in every heart, the makers concluded the post with ‘Om Namo Venkatesaya’, hinting at the spiritual significance of the character.
Vaddi Kaasula Vaada marks Manchu Manoj’s reunion with AK Entertainments after 16 years. The actor previously collaborated with the production house on Bindass. The film’s title announcement video, which was released earlier, presented Manoj in a humorous situation involving EMIs, loans and financial pressures, hinting at a comedy-driven commercial entertainer.
The concept video cleverly plays around with the current EMI and instalment culture, presenting a humorous scenario where Manoj appears burdened with financial struggles while pleading to God for help. From monthly instalments and loan pressures to middle-class financial stress wrapped in comedy, the film appears to blend humour with situations familiar to many youngsters and families today.
Tej Uppalapati has written and directed Vaddi Kaasula Vaada, which is produced by Ramabrahmam Sunkara under the AK Entertainments banner. Kishore Garikipati, Ajay Sunkara and Daya Pannem are the co-producers, while the project is presented by ATV.
On the work front, Ravi Mohan is currently busy shooting for his directorial debut, An Ordinary Man. Further, he recently joined the sets of Benz, which is a part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe. He will be seen sharing the screen with Raghava Lawrence and Nivin Pauly in the Bakkiyaraj Kannan directorial. With Karathey Babu, helmed by Ganesh K Babu, set for an August 28 release, the actor has joined hands with debut director GND Shyam Kumar for his next. He also has multiple other projects in the pipeline, including the long-delayed Genie and Karthik Yogi's film, titled Bro Club.
