Chiranjeevi and director Bobby Kolli have joined hands for their upcoming film Kaaka, which is progressing at a brisk pace. This is the second time Bobby Kolli is working with Chiranjeevi, as they previously collaborated on Waltair Veerayya, which was a successful film.

The film is produced by K Venkata Narayana under his KVN Productions banner and is scheduled to release on January 13, 2027, to cash in on the Sankranthi holidays. To meet the deadline, the makers have been shooting the film at regular intervals and planning lengthy schedules.

Now, the movie is set to enter a key schedule, which will begin in Hyderabad from September 7. The makers have announced that it will be a lengthy and crucial schedule for the film.

There are several films lined up for release during the upcoming Sankranthi festival, and Kaaka is one of the major releases. Chiranjeevi tasted success with his earlier film Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, which was also released during Sankranthi 2026 and went on to become a huge hit.

He now wants to continue the Sankranthi sentiment with Kaaka as well. Keeping the release target in mind, the makers are working continuously. While the shooting is progressing, the team is also simultaneously completing the post-production work.

Recently, on the occasion of Chiranjeevi’s birthday, the makers unveiled the title and a glimpse from the film, which generated good interest. Chiranjeevi is playing the role of Satyam, while Anaswara Rajan is playing his daughter. The glimpse also featured an older version of Chiranjeevi as well as a younger version of the megastar.

Whether the younger Chiranjeevi will appear in a flashback portion or whether the actor is playing dual roles is something that will be revealed in the coming days through further updates from the makers.

Apart from Anaswara Rajan, the film also features Nivetha Pethuraj, Sunil, Getup Srinu and Kannada actor Rachita Ram in important roles.
