On Saturday, we reported about Vijay Deverakonda's Arjun Reddy filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga praising the actor's latest film Ranabaali and his performance in it. Calling Vijay's performance in the film "outstanding," Sandeep encouraged the audience to watch it in theatres. He also appreciated the chemistry between Vijay Deverakonda and his wife Rashmika Mandanna in the film. It is worth noting that Rashmika Mandanna starred in Sandeep's 2023 film Animal, alongside Ranbir Kapoor.

Elsewhere, the filmmaker wrote, "Vijay… your action has a raw, untamed ferocity that can’t be manufactured. There’s a terrifying intensity in the way you fight. I genuinely believe you'll be the next DEFINING ACTION HERO OF INDIAN CINEMA," the Arjun Reddy and Animal filmmaker wrote.

Quote-tweeting his take on the actor, Ram Gopal Varma shared, "Just watched and I completely agree ..The fire in Vijay Deverakonda's eyes can melt ROCKS."

Ram Gopal Varma and Sandeep Reddy Vanga have mutual admiration for each other's films and are known for their unconventional cinema. Sandeep has revealed that he has learnt several technical aspects of cinema from Ram Gopal Varma's films, as well as appreciating the Satya filmmaker's raw and gritty cinematic style. On the other hand, RGV is known for defending Sandeep's film Animal amidst negativity around it from critics, saying they do not understand audience tastes in cinema. The two directors have similar filmmaking sensibilities as well.

Their appreciation of Vijay Deverakonda in Ranabaali comes at a time when the film has started well at the box office, despite mixed reviews from critics. According to data from Sacnilk, filmmaker Rahul Sankrityan's period epic has earned 5.92 crore from theatres on Sunday. This pushes the overall Ranabaali box office collection to 26.24 crore, according to the latest available data.
