The makers of Haindava, starring Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas, unveiled the teaser on Wednesday. Directed by debutant Ludheer Byreddy and produced by Mahesh Chandu under the Moonshine Pictures banner, the film is touted to be a thriller. Sreenivas’ last film, Kishkindhapuri, was also a thriller and was released in September last year.

The makers have announced that Haindava will hit theatres on November 27. The film’s production is nearing completion, while post-production work is progressing simultaneously. With the teaser launch, the team has also kick-started its promotional campaign.

Set in the village of Rangapuram, the story takes a mysterious turn when all the idols from an ancient temple go missing and a villager is found murdered. Adding another intriguing layer to the mystery, the temple priest believes that the idols will return within a stipulated timeframe. An atheist police officer is assigned to investigate the unusual case, setting the stage for a clash between faith, reason and the unexplained.

The teaser hints at a blend of mystical, devotional and action-driven elements. Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas plays an atheist police officer who believes in humanity rather than God. Samyuktha plays the female lead, while Mahesh Manjrekar appears in a pivotal role as the temple priest. Saurabh Sachdeva, JD Chakravarthy, Shivaji Raja and Getup Srinu play other significant roles.

Siva Kamesh D has created the mystical world for the film’s occult backdrop, while Harish Kannan is handling the cinematography. Sam CS is composing the music, and Karthika Srinivas R is in charge of editing.

Haindava is scheduled to arrive in theatres on November 27.
